Our story

A problem we kept seeing
Good built-in work hides its detail in lines of light — under cabinets, in ceiling coves, along shelf edges. Each run is placed to look smooth and continuous. The designer has already decided where the light falls and how it should bring out the wood or the wall.
Then the lights went on, and too often you could see a row of dots with dark gaps between them. The whole piece fell short of what was intended. We saw it again and again, so we went looking for something better, found COB strip — a continuous line with no visible dots — and started selling it in 2020, so built-in and hidden lighting could come out the way it was drawn.

Listening on site, then going back to the factory
We began as a shop selling strip lights, but every job a customer told us about taught us something — the ones that came out beautifully and the ones that ran into trouble. Some problems were solved by picking a better-suited model, some came down to the parts it ran with, and some had to go back to the product itself.
So we took what we heard straight to our manufacturers — improving what could be improved, and developing new options together when nothing on the shelf fit. In 2023 the strip we sold became products under the ARUM name, and we grew to cover the whole system: profiles, power supplies and controllers. Good light, we found, never comes from the strip alone.

Good parts, installed wrong, still look wrong
The more customers we looked after, the clearer it became that the right product is only part of the result. Many told us it was hard to find an installer who really understood strip lighting, and some of the problems sent back for us to check weren’t in the light at all — they came from how it was installed or used.
In 2025 we built ARUM’s own install team, so the people who help you choose and the people who fit it understand the same job — from the first conversation to the day the lights go on. Since then, installation-related claims have dropped noticeably, and we hear more good things back from customers.
Care in the installation matters to the finished job as much as the product does.

What we want for your space
Built-in joinery, ceiling coves, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor areas, the glow behind a TV or a desk — each needs a different model and different parts. That’s why we always ask about your space and the result you want before we recommend anything.
We want the first time you switch it on to feel like “that’s exactly the light I wanted” — a home or shop that looks better, works without worry for years, and has someone who understands strip lighting to call when there’s a question or a problem.
ARUM · means perseverance
Why we’re called ARUM
ARUM comes from the Thai word อรัมภ์ (arum), meaning perseverance. Through everything above, the one thing we keep doing is listen, learn, and find a fix — in the product, the advice, the installation and the care after the sale. That is what perseverance means to us, and it’s where everything ARUM does comes from.
Who makes our products
ARUM products are made by LED specialist factories in China that we deal with directly. When a job turns up a problem or a need, we take it to the factory to improve the product — and where nothing on the shelf fits, we work out an option with them within what they can actually make.
The factory checks every batch before it ships, but in volume production a faulty piece can still slip through. If you get one, message us and we will sort it out under the warranty.
